Theater Festival Schwindelfrei - Loot the wasteland!
The Schwindelfrei Festival 2012 sees itself as a snapshot. The festival attempts to capture movements and presents new approaches and aesthetics of artists from the Rhine-Neckar region. This has been no blank space in the independent theater scene in Germany, but rather is enlivened by a variety of projects, collaborations and venues. Loot the wasteland! wants to draw attention to what originated here and is emerging in new collaborations and networks. Schwindelfrei 2012 is dedicated to the "fallow land" as an utopian space, in which not only memories and the past slumbers but also new curiosities blossom.
Schwindelfrei uses the space of the Mannheim conversion areas exemplary and visionary for the free performing arts. In the temporary acquirement of the Turley Barracks, the festival has the outlook on a production company for the performing arts that may arise at this location.
